ALGON Enugu Celebrates Gov. Mbah at 54 with Orphanage Outreach, Thanksgiving Mass

‎‎‎The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter, on Tuesday celebrated the 54th birthday of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah with humanitarian outreach to orphanages and a special thanksgiving Mass.‎‎The activities were coordinated by the ALGON Chairman in the state and Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area, Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, alongside other council chairmen and their deputies.‎‎As part of the celebration, the council leaders visited orphanages across the three senatorial districts of Enugu State, where they distributed food items and relief materials to children and caregivers.‎‎Speaking during the outreach, Edeh said the initiative was designed to mark the governor’s birthday by extending compassion and support to the less privileged in society.‎‎He described Governor Mbah as a visionary and people-oriented leader whose administration, he noted, has continued to drive transformative development across the state.‎‎According to him, celebrating the governor’s birthday with orphans and vulnerable children reflects the spirit of compassion and inclusive governance being promoted by the current administration.‎‎In addition to the humanitarian outreach, ALGON also organised a special Christian thanksgiving Mass at its headquarters in Independence Layout, where prayers were offered for divine guidance, wisdom and continued success for the governor in his leadership of the state.‎‎During the service, the council chairmen reaffirmed their loyalty and unalloyed support for Mbah, pledging sustained collaboration with his administration to deepen grassroots development across the local government areas.‎‎They noted that local government councils in the state are now undertaking projects previously considered beyond their capacity, attributing the development to the governor’s decision to allow local government allocations to be paid directly into their respective accounts without deductions.‎‎The council leaders further commended what they described as the governor’s bold reforms and development-driven policies, which they said are repositioning the state for sustainable growth and prosperity.‎‎They assured that the local government councils remain committed to supporting the governor’s vision of building a prosperous and inclusive Enugu State.‎‎‎©ALGON Media Enugu
